Lifetime Within a Day

This day feels like i've lived 3 weeks in one; im exhausted and I want to put my body to rest

 In a little cocoon 

 

Hang my skeleton up so the days arduous grime can drip drip drip off

 

Lay on in the bed while the world moves on 

 

The clouds move through the skies 

Texts go unanswered 

And announcements continue to get announced 

 

A lifetime within the day is what day has been

 

And now I settle down in my little bed

The earth continues to spin 

 

And the grass will kiss my feet when I return
