Beauty in the Eyes

​

I woke up late and hurried to school 

Thinking about the responsibility I lack 

I ran down the hallway like a fool 

When suddenly, my books fell with a smack 

 

I looked up and my face turned red 

Because I realized I landed into something soft 

I didn't know what words I muttered or said 

Before I picked up my books and took off 

 

My cheeks were burning 

As I thought about his athletic body and handsome face 

I shake my head Why is my mind so concerning 

I just want to get out of this place! 

 

I huffed and puffed. Yuo probably don’t know me 

Im not popular you see 

You have charisma and charm 

While my social anxiety blares like an alarm 

 

 When I got back home, I kicked my feet

Not knowing thatI almsot hurt my cat 

I hugged my pillow and accepted defeat 

Why did I have to run like that?
