Wonderland

a desk, a clock, a hare

a door, a laptop, a glare

wonderland when do you end

i have nothing i can use to defend

leg bouncing and nose sniffing

ears piqued and time ticking

hyperventilating and mind askew

the mad hatter has had his time to brew

i drink all of his nauseating tea

the only thing i brought to school to appease me

lunch has lost its relaxing aspects

and my friends quickly lose their comfort as they continue to digest

i cant consume food nor their words

or the lessons the teachers propel at me it hurts

my monocle has been swapped for contacts and my ears for pigtails

the straight hallways become winding rails

a train marches me forward instead of my feet

automatic because i cant move consciously from seat to seat

the queen of hearts keeps me in class

giving my heart a distraction from the center of my mind, a growing dark mass

im so hungry but when i eat the food i have i shrink

and my mental is on the brink

but the worst of all is that i dont want to leave

because even with the cruel and unusual punishments anything is better than to continue to grieve.
