Armenia
If I know one thing at all it is this:
I know my motherland, Armenia.
Its fallen churches and burned-down cities
Turned into nothing but dusty ash.
Generations of people are left with nothing,
But the clothes on their back.
I reminisce on my days spent in my
Motherland,
the streets filled with music and laughter.
Trying to come to the understanding
That I may never be able to revisit
the home of my people
And that there may be nothing left
to return to, but the vacated homes
and empty villages.
