Home

Home, a word often used, carelessly thrown into the air

Described as a place of four walls and is on a map somewhere

But, a home is not a place built from brick and stone

That is a house, though most definitely not a home

A home is built where you decide

Whether it be a person, in your heart, or in your mind

It grows with you and knows you well

A home is nothing you could ever sell

A home is a warmth that goes beyond the ground

Where all your shared love can be found

It provides you with comfort despite the day

A home is something that never goes away

A home will protect you from all your fears

Where you can go to shed all your tears

It is an emotion, not constrained by a door

A home is a sentiment we should all adore
